Is your resolution Higher than 800 x 600?
You can still use these photographs in Windows
If you use Windows 98 or newer, you can use the "stretch" feature to make these photographs work for your computer. First you set the photograph you want as wall paper. (Click here if you don't know how to do that.) Then, click with the right mouse button anywhere on your wallpaper where there is not an icon. Choose the "properties" option. On the "background" tab find the "display" option and choose "stretch." This will make a smaller background picture completely fill the background of your computer, no matter what the resolution.
