Beartooth Scenic Byway, Wyoming and Montana

From Red Lodge Montana to the northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park runs U.S. Highway 212: The Beartooth Highway Scenic Byway. Extraordinary Scenery on this road that is closed by snow much of the year. I think this is one of the most scenic places I've ever seen. My only regret was that I took this trail late in the summer when there was little snow to be seen. The first picture was taken on August 25, 2001. The rest were taken on August 9, 2003.

No more regrets after these photos, except that the place is so beautiful that its hard to leave. These photos were taken on June 5, 2006 late in the afternoon.
